Program Manager, Linear Optics Quantum Computation - Experimental Centre for Quantum Computer Technology.
Senior Lecturer, School of Electrical Engineering and Telecommunications, [email protected]
Elanor completed her PhD in experimental quantum optics at the Australian National University. Elanor's PhD research involved experimental demonstrations of quantum noise limited operation of a variety of laser and laser amplifier systems as well as demonstrations of sub-quantum noise limited electro-optic amplifier systems. After a stint at Australia's Defence Science and Technology Organisation, Elanor joined the University of New South Wales located at the Australian Defence Force Academy in 2000 where, amongst other things, she is investigating means of robustly encoding quantum information on photonic qubits.
Elanor has been the manager of the [email protected] node since the Centre of Excellence was established in 2003. Centre research at [email protected] involves the School of Information Technology and Electrical Engineering as well as the School of Physical, Environmental and Mathematical Sciences and encompasses experiments in
(i) robust implementations of Linear Optical Quantum Computation; and (ii) magnetic resonance studies of issues critical to a solid-state quantum computers.
