Research Interests

Andrew manages the Centre's program in the development of integrated devices for the control (A- and J-gates) and read-out (using single electron transistors) of phosphorous (31P) qubits in silicon. In the near term this is being approached via a 'top-down' strategy in which individual 31P donors are implanted into a device at precise locations using advanced techniques such as electron beam lithography and single ion implantation, the latter through close collaboration with Centre researchers at the University of Melbourne.
